Commonwealth Fusion Systems

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is a fusion energy company building compact tokamak fusion machines with high-temperature superconducting magnets, developed with MIT. Its flagship project is SPARC, a research device meant to show that fusion can produce net energy, and the company plans ARC as a first commercial fusion power plant. The company also makes its own magnets at scale.

CFS has its corporate offices, a research facility and manufacturing buildings on its Devens campus, and it has grown to more than 1,000 team members, most of them in Devens. The company is not a retail or walk-in business, but neighbors can reach it through its general inquiry address and its community relations team, which arranges staff speakers for local schools.
