St. Charles Urgent Care

St. Charles Urgent Care is a walk-in clinic that treats a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries, from sore throats and sinus problems to broken bones, sprains and cuts that need stitches. It sees adults, children and infants 6 months and older, and also handles occupational medicine for employers, including work-related injuries, pre-employment physicals and on-site drug testing. Care is provided by board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians and Emergency Medicine trained physician assistants.

No appointment is needed, and the clinic is open seven days a week with extended weekday hours. On-site X-ray, EKG, and point-of-care lab tests such as urinalysis, flu swabs and rapid strep screening are available, with more complex blood work handled through Labcorp. The clinic is in the Plantation View Medical Complex on River Road at Interstate 310 in Destrehan. For a medical emergency, the clinic directs patients to dial 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.
