Sunrun

Sunrun is a national residential solar and battery installer with a local team in Des Plaines that designs, installs and maintains home solar systems. The company is known for its solar subscription plan, which lets homeowners pay a fixed monthly rate for the power their panels produce and for battery storage, often with little or nothing down. Home battery backups are a major focus, meant to keep essential lights, appliances, heating and cooling running during grid outages.

System design starts with an assessment of the roof's orientation, pitch and shading, and Sunrun handles installation and permitting. Sales and solar advisor calls run Monday through Saturday with extended evening hours, and customer support is reachable on weekdays and Saturdays. Sunrun also owns and maintains subscription systems and offers 24/7 system monitoring. The Des Plaines office is at 2309 S Mt Prospect Rd.
