Effective Balancing

Effective Balancing is an independent test and balance contractor that performs air balancing and testing for residential and commercial HVAC systems. The firm measures airflow and pressures, adjusts supply registers, return grilles and variable speed fans, and produces written reports for inspectors. Its work includes kitchen exhaust evaluation, makeup air checks and pre-design consulting for mechanical contractors.

The company works mainly with HVAC contractors, mechanical engineers, architects, general contractors and building owners, and it does not install or service HVAC equipment itself. Restaurants, schools, retail spaces, hotels, offices and warehouses are among the commercial clients. Free estimates are available, and it serves Chicagoland and nearby areas. The office is at 1980 Berry Lane in Des Plaines.
