Yahara River Learning Center

Yahara River Learning Center is a nature-based child care and learning center for toddlers through school-age children. Its playground and facilities are built around the idea that children learn best through hands-on experiences, with gardens, tree trunks for climbing and balance, and natural materials used in play. Classroom time is teacher-planned and play-based, covering math, literacy, art, science and social learning.

Children ages 1 to 4 can enroll in the full-day program, which is open Monday through Friday. The center also runs a full-day 4K program requiring at least four full days per week, accepts school-age students after school from any DASD elementary school with an added busing fee, and offers a summer camp. The center is at 4165 Timothy Court in DeForest.
