Romies Cleaners

Romies Cleaners is a dry cleaner and alterations shop that has been operating since 1959. It specializes in dry cleaning fine garments, including cashmere, silk and velvet, and also offers shirt laundering, wet cleaning, wash and fold laundry, and on-site alterations such as hemming, zipper and button replacement, and taking in or letting out clothing. Household items like bedspreads, comforters and rugs are cleaned too, along with leather and suede, wedding gowns and stain removal.

The shop is family owned and run, with the current owners in charge for more than 37 years. All work is done on site, and the business uses a solvent-based process with no perc along with enzyme-based detergents. Pickup and delivery and same-day service are available, and the shop also works on military and ROTC uniforms. It is at 1617 South Ridgewood Avenue in South Daytona.
