Tony & Pete's

Tony & Pete's is a neighborhood market and sandwich shop in downtown Dayton known for high-quality old school cold cut sandwiches, with the Gabagool, Cold Cut Trio and Delivery Boy among the most ordered. The menu also includes hot sandwiches like the Italian Beef, fresh salads, housemade sides such as pimento cheese and spicy pasta salad, plus beer, wine and grocery staples. The shop is named after the owners' fathers, Tony and Pete, and is run by husband and wife Kathleen Roll and Justin Simmons.

You can order at the counter, by phone or online through Toast, or through DoorDash for delivery, and the owners prefer walk-in and direct orders. There are a few seats inside for those who want to stay, and the shop is at 129 E 3rd St. Metered street parking is free after 6pm and on weekends, and there is a paid lot at Third and St. Clair. Catering packages are available by request, and gift cards can be bought in the shop or as eGift cards. Vegan and gluten-free options are available, though hot sandwiches are not served on gluten-free bread.
