Eye 1

Eye 1 is an eyewear shop with locations in Hyde Park, Cincinnati and Oakwood, Dayton. It started in Yellow Springs, Ohio, more than 45 years ago and is known for bold, unusual frames from a long list of designer brands, along with custom eyewear and protective eyewear that can be fitted with prescription lenses.

The shops do not accept insurance, but they provide itemized receipts for medical flex dollars. Prescriptions from an MD or OD within the last two years can be brought in. Orders usually take a week to ten days. Both shops also stock telescopes, microscopes, monoculars and opera glasses. Hours differ by location, so check before visiting.
