Financial Strategies

Financial Strategies is the financial planning practice of Alan Goldfarb, MBA, CFP, who has worked in the field for almost 40 years. The practice builds multigenerational plans covering retirement, estate, tax, investment, insurance and budgeting, with the aim of providing for children and grandchildren without leaving them a financial burden. Goldfarb served six years as chairman of the CFP Board of Standards and has been named to Worth magazine's list of top financial advisors five times.

Planning starts with time spent learning a family's goals and tolerance for risk, followed by written recommendations presented to the family and periodic check-ins to adjust the plan. Goldfarb also coordinates with a family's other professionals, such as accountants and attorneys, to carry out the plan. A third-party rating service has named him a top financial advisor to medical professionals.
