Engineering Optimism Dog Training

Engineering Optimism Dog Training is a force-free dog training practice run by certified trainer Mallory Kratimenos. The focus is on small dogs, dogs with big feelings such as reactivity and fear, and separation anxiety, with trick training offered for building connection. Training follows positive reinforcement and science-based methods, and the trainer avoids prong or pinch collars, shock collars, choke chains and punishment.

Most of the work is done virtually, with one-on-one sessions that let a dog learn in a familiar environment while the owner builds hands-on skills. Hybrid in-person and virtual private sessions are also offered. Virtual group classes run on Zoom in small groups, are recorded for members, and sell out quickly, so sign-up is by email list. Memberships and self-paced online courses are available for those who cannot attend live classes. The business is located at 11380 Kentucky Street in Crown Point, Indiana.
