The Oaks

The Oaks is a public golf course on a former 168-acre family farm, with a par-71 layout that plays from 5,615 to 6,763 yards. Course architect Greg Martin designed it to give golfers a fair round in a natural setting, and the course welcomes players of all skill levels, from beginners to scratch golfers. The club also runs a golf shop, PGA-staffed lessons and a fitting and repair service.

Golfers can book tee times online, including simulator tee times. The course hosts outings, company parties and weddings in a 6,300-square-foot tent with views of the course, and events are staffed by licensed staff. The course sits east of Madison along I-94 in Cottage Grove, and the club offers gift cards and a weather guarantee that refunds greens fees as a rain check if a round is abandoned before hole 18.
