FLOORING DETECTIVE

Flooring Detective is a hardwood flooring inspection firm that works as an independent, third-party inspector. Owner Jeffrey Meltzer, an NWFA certified professional, investigates what is causing a floor problem and prepares a written report based on NWFA guidelines. The firm also serves as a mediator for flooring disputes and provides expert witness testimony for flooring cases, and it works with homeowners, business owners, builders, manufacturers and attorneys, including local governments.

Inspections are on-site and tailored to the specific issue, and there are quality assurance inspections for projects still in the specification stage. Staff training for installation crews is also available. The office is open Monday through Saturday, and the business is licensed and insured.
