Costa Mesa

Color Me Mine Costa Mesa is a paint-your-own pottery studio where visitors choose an unfinished ceramic piece, paint it with glazes provided by the studio, and leave it to be fired. No experience is needed, and the studio supplies brushes, materials and sample designs for anyone unsure where to start. Kids and adults both come in, and the studio also hosts parties and group visits.

Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is required for individual visits. Parties of six or more can reserve with a $100 deposit, and groups that size pay a 12% service charge. Finished pieces are usually ready for pickup about five days after the visit, and the studio texts when they are ready. The studio is inside Metro Pointe Plaza across from Edwards Theatre, with parking in the structure off South Coast Drive.
