Twig & Needle

Twig & Needle is a home-based practice offering acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine and lifestyle and nutritional counseling. Practitioner Alice Spitzner Claussen, a licensed acupuncturist, has a particular interest in women's health, digestive health and emotional health, and her work includes alchemical healing, gua sha and cupping, flower essences and face reading.

Appointments take place in a private treatment room in the lower level of a residence in Coralville, reached by an entrance on the south side of the house down six steps. Parking is available in the driveway or on the west side of 13th Avenue, and mobility needs can be discussed ahead of time. Sessions can be booked online, and the practice keeps an in-house pharmacy of bulk, granular and tablet herbs.
