QuickBooks

QuickBooks is a business software company whose payroll products handle paychecks, payroll tax calculations and filings, and direct deposit for employers. Its website hosts a free paycheck calculator for hourly and salary workers in Iowa, which estimates gross pay, overtime, and federal and state withholdings. The site also covers Iowa payroll rules, including the state income tax structure and unemployment tax basics.

QuickBooks payroll is sold as online plans, with the Workforce app letting employees track their own hours, view pay information, and access W-2s. Sales can be reached by phone, with sales hours listed as Monday through Friday, 5 AM to 6 PM Pacific time. The calculator is a planning tool for estimates and is not tax advice, so employers should check results against current guidance.
