Barrett's

Barrett's is a neighborhood bakery, cafe and deli in Coralville that serves handmade breads and bagels, pastries, salads, rotisserie chicken, roasted salmon and artisan sandwiches. The bakery and deli cases are stocked through the day, and the menu runs from a morning brunch to dinner items and local beer, wine and cocktails. Owner and chef Cory Barrett, who trained in pastry and savory cooking and worked in several well-known restaurant kitchens before opening here in 2022, named the place after himself.

Brunch is served daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, and dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday. Regulars often stop in more than once a day, for coffee and a quick breakfast, a lunch or an easy dinner to take home. The restaurant also handles catering and onsite events, which need at least 48 hours' notice, and offers gift cards. It is at 3242 Crosspark Road in Coralville.
