Youth Homes

Youth Homes is a Concord-based nonprofit that supports Bay Area foster youth and young adults with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. Its clinicians and counselors take a trauma-informed approach through community-based mental health services, experiential therapeutic services and a residential program, serving more than 200 youth and their families each year. The organization has supported underserved young people since 1965.

Its Thrift Shop in Pleasant Hill sells gently used items and direct proceeds to youth programs, and some rare and designer pieces also sell through the shop's eBay store. Donations should be brought into the shop rather than left at the doors, since dropped-off bags add garbage fees. Groups can host a donation drive using the organization's bins or trailer, and volunteers are welcome to join the shop team.
