AFSCME Ohio Council 8

AFSCME Ohio Council 8 is a labor union representing more than 31,000 public and private sector employees across Ohio. Its members work in street maintenance and sanitation, the trades, custodial work, social work, hospitals, universities, public schools, museums, public defender offices, and city and county administrative roles. The council is affiliated with AFSCME and the AFL-CIO.

Eight regional offices give local unions and members access to staff representatives who help with contract negotiations, grievances, and contract enforcement. The council is headquartered in Worthington.
