Sanborn

Sanborn is a geospatial company that produces aerial survey, mapping, spatial analysis and custom software work for government agencies and utilities. The company traces its roots to 1866, when Daniel Alfred Sanborn founded a bureau in New York City to make detailed building maps for fire insurers, and it has since moved from printed atlases into GIS, photogrammetry and digital mapping.

Sanborn serves federal, state and local governments along with civil engineering, transportation, environmental, energy, utility, broadband, agriculture, forestry and health clients. Its offerings include managed services, staff augmentation and flight services with its own planes, sensors and operators. The main office is at 305 S. Rockrimmon Blvd in Colorado Springs.
