Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity

Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit that builds affordable homes for local families in El Paso County. Partner families put in sweat equity hours alongside volunteers and then buy their homes with affordable mortgages. The group also runs a Home Repair Program that helps current homeowners make critical repairs and accessibility modifications, and a Housing for Educators program for qualified Widefield School District 3 staff.

The organization works with volunteers, churches and corporate sponsors, and its ReStore resale shops take donated furniture, doors, windows, flooring and building materials. The Northeast ReStore is at 6250 Tutt Blvd. in Colorado Springs, and a South ReStore is on S. Wahsatch Avenue. Donations are tax-deductible, and the group also tithes 10% of undesignated funds to Habitat projects abroad.
