Glaser Steel

Glaser Steel sells mild steel and some aluminum at retail, cut to length, and does custom saw cutting, shearing, drilling and punching, plasma cutting and welding and fabrication. The family business traces its roots to H & G Welding, started in 1945, and has long made wrought iron railings, window covers and steel fabrication work.

Customers can buy full-length stock, steel cut by the inch, or pieces from the drop pile. Custom cutting and hole punching often need a few days, depending on quantity and shop workload, so orders are best arranged ahead. Fabrication jobs can start with emailed or in-person plans, and the shop can offer delivery of material or finished work. The shop sits on South 31st Street on the west side of Colorado Springs and is open weekdays with a midday lunch closing.
