Wittich's Candy Shop

Wittich's Candy Shop makes hand dipped chocolates, molded candies, nut brittles and gift boxes in small batches, using ingredients it describes as free of preservatives. The shop says it has operated in Circleville since 1840 and calls itself the nation's oldest family owned and operated confectionery.

The store is at 117 West High Street in Circleville and takes visitors and phone calls during business hours. It is closed on Sundays and major holidays, and it asks customers to call ahead during snow emergencies. During the Circleville Pumpkin Show the shop runs a fudge and brittle booth on Pinckney Street near Court Street, and it has offered pumpkin creams as a limited fall treat.
