PEORIA RC MODELERS

Peoria RC Modelers is a radio control model flying club and an Academy of Model Aeronautics chapter, AMA Chapter 313. Members fly fixed wing aircraft, helicopters and sailplanes, and the club holds annual events at its flying field. It is a not-for-profit focused on fun and the safe operation of model aircraft.

The field is near Chillicothe, Illinois, on Peoria Park District property, and it is an FAA FRIA site, so no RID is required. Members fly most evenings during the summer and Friday through Sunday mornings when weather permits. To fly, you must be a current AMA member and complete the club's application. Guests are welcome at the monthly meeting, held the first Wednesday of the month at the field or a local restaurant. Club dues cover the field lease, site improvements and the access road.
