Collins Electric

Collins Electric is an electrical contracting and design firm established in 1906 and now in its fifth generation of Collins family ownership. The firm works on commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings, including schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, correctional facilities, and municipal buildings. Its work spans electrical construction, medium voltage projects such as underground distribution and substation construction, low voltage systems, and fire alarm installation and upgrades.

The company runs a 24-hour emergency response for medium voltage work and lists 24/7 service among its offerings. Collins Electric has offices at 53 Second Avenue in Chicopee and on 4th Street in Pittsfield, and it serves facilities across western Massachusetts. Most of its clients are businesses and institutions rather than individual homeowners.
