The Egg Bistro

The Egg Bistro is a breakfast and brunch restaurant known for fresh, inventive dishes, locally roasted coffee and a bar with six rotating local craft beers on tap. The menu also includes award-winning Bloody Marys and mimosas. The restaurant was founded in 2007 by two friends who wanted a place that took breakfast seriously.

The Chesapeake location on Kempsville Road is the one in this directory. Reservations and call-ahead seating are not accepted, so plan to walk in. The restaurant also hosts private events seven nights a week for groups up to 150, with packages that can add DJs, live music, photo booths or karaoke. Catering is available for pickup or delivery, with orders of $200 or less needing 48 hours' notice and larger orders 72 hours. Catering stops at 8 am on weekends.
