Phillips Family Tree Care

Phillips Family Tree Care is a family-owned tree service that handles removals, pruning, maintenance, planting and preservation. Its arborists have completed formal training and certification and are qualified in tree risk assessment, so they can judge the health and safety of a tree before recommending work. Pruning follows ANSI A300 standards, and the crew uses rope access rather than foot-mounted spikes. Cabling and bracing are also offered for trees with structural defects.

The company serves Chesapeake, Suffolk, Portsmouth, and parts of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, and it takes emergency tree calls. Its stated approach is to recommend work based on arboricultural research and the homeowner's goals rather than pressure to remove. Customers can call or text, and the contact form asks for a phone number so the office can reach them back.
