Little Bean Play Cafe

Little Bean Play Cafe is a play space and cafe for children from infancy through preschool age, built around a Montessori-inspired play area. Parents can order coffee, teas and specialty drinks, along with pastries, bagel breakfast sandwiches, paninis and a charcuterie box. The cafe says its menu items come from local Hampton Roads small businesses, and its coffee is roasted in Virginia Beach.

Children need grippy socks in the play area, and shoes are not allowed there; socks are sold on arrival if needed. A signed waiver is required for every child, and the business recommends completing it online before a visit. Reservations are recommended. Food is not permitted in the play area. The cafe is at 3325 Taylor Rd. in a suite, and the owner, Brianna Platt, hosts expert-led workshops and community events.
