The Sunflower Club

The Sunflower Club is a community support organization in Mint Hill that runs a food pantry, a cafe and an on-site retreat space. Its outreach gives families and individuals practical help with food and education, and it collects donations of non-perishable items, including gluten-free and allergy-friendly options, for its pantry and for snack shelves in local schools. A greenhouse meant to grow produce year-round with aeroponic Tower Gardens is still being developed.

The cafe is open to everyone, members or not, and the club also offers a blessing box there. Its retreat space, called atKAIROS, has a rustic barn, fire pit areas, pondside seating and indoor and outdoor classrooms, and it is available for wellness retreats, workshops and community gatherings. Volunteers are welcome, and donation drop-offs can be arranged. The cafe is at 122 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill.
