Cajun Yard Dog

Cajun Yard Dog serves Louisiana-style Cajun and Southern comfort food, with a menu built around jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, red beans and rice, po'boys, fresh fish and fried chicken. Crab cake appetizers are also on the menu, and the restaurant offers rotating specials and fresh catches of the day. The restaurant has been open since 2000 and keeps more than 35 varieties of hot sauce on hand.

The restaurant is in the South Charlotte Arboretum shopping center on Providence Road. Lunch runs 11 AM to 3 PM daily, with dinner served until 9 PM on weeknights, 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 8 PM on Sunday. Reservations are usually not taken, so seating is first come, first served. Prices are described as affordable.
