Michael Iji Custom Design & Tailoring Studio

Michael Iji Custom Design & Tailoring Studio makes custom menswear, including designer shirts sewn from imported Italian fabrics, suits, vests and jackets, along with alterations. Michael draws on his apprenticeship in Nigeria and years working in Italy, and he also makes pre-tied bow ties, pocket squares and cummerbunds to order.

The studio is in Cary, at Southeast Maynard Road, and appointments are the way to schedule custom design or alterations work. Gift cards are sold and can be used toward the boutique, and the shop also carries ready-to-wear designer pieces. Out-of-state clients often mail shirts and vintage suits in for alterations or redesign.
