Family Initiative

Family Initiative is a nonprofit that serves children with autism spectrum disorder and children in the child welfare system, along with their families. Its offerings include ABA therapy, occupational therapy, social skills playgroups, teen and young adult groups, and child welfare and workforce transition services. The organization also runs Thrive Academy, a private school focused on ASD youth and young adults that uses an individualized approach to learning.

Family Initiative is a 501(c)3 and describes itself as locally owned and operated, with founders who are involved in day-to-day programs. Its main office is on Chiquita Boulevard in south Cape Coral, and the website lists early intervention centers in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples and Babcock Ranch. Donations are tax deductible, and families can request a free screening through the programs page.
