Great Start K9 Obedience

Great Start K9 Obedience is a dog training business run by trainer Meredith, who focuses on positive reinforcement methods. Classes include six-week basic obedience packages for puppies and adult dogs, a Canine Good Citizen prep class, and one-hour crash courses for owners who cannot commit to a full series. Behavior modification work for issues such as separation anxiety, fear and aggression is also offered, with a behavior consultation for reactivity cases.

Classes are held in person in Cameron or over Zoom, and a video training series is available for owners with schedule or distance limits. Payment is due in full at the first class. Owners are asked to bring a flat collar or harness, a leash, high-value treats and their puppy's vaccination record. Service dog training is a longer program taken by application only.
