ReSOURCE

ReSOURCE is a nonprofit reuse store and job training program that started in Burlington in 1991 as ReCycle North. It refurbishes and sells major appliances, computers, electronics, furniture and building materials at affordable prices. Its appliance technicians handle full-service repairs and are certified in refrigeration, LP and natural gas, and its computer team offers Windows diagnostics, repairs and PC tune-ups as a registered Microsoft refurbisher.

Training programs for youth and low-income Vermonters include Construction 101, HVAC 101 and Weatherization courses. Stores are in Burlington, Williston, Barre and Morrisville, and furniture and large appliance donations can be scheduled for pickup in Chittenden County and central Vermont. Repair work carries a base fee plus added charges for extended jobs, and the Essential Goods Program supplies goods through partner agencies serving low-income households.
