Great Harvest Bread Co. is a bakery and café known for wholesome whole-grain breads and baked goods, made with long fermentation and traditional hand methods. The monthly baking schedule lists the breads, pastries and other baked goods available each month.
The café makes sandwiches, paninis and salads by hand, using ingredients from farmers and producers across Vermont and New England. Coffee and espresso drinks come from La Colombe, and tea from Rishi. Lunch is served from 11 AM to 3 PM Monday through Saturday, and orders can be placed ahead by phone or online. The bakery is in the South End Arts District, in a former maple syrup factory with exposed brick walls. It is closed on Sundays.
