City Market Co-op

City Market Co-op is Burlington's community-owned grocery, serving the city since 1973 as a member-owned cooperative. It stocks local, organic and conventional groceries, including thousands of Vermont-made products and fresh local produce. Prepared foods are a big part of the store, with a hot bar of ready-to-eat meals made fresh daily, a made-to-order sandwich station, and in-house catering platters.

Shopping is open to everyone, and membership is optional, though members pay $15 a year for 20% off on Member Discount Days and access to weekly deals. Two stores serve the city: Downtown on South Winooski Avenue and South End on Flynn Avenue. Both are open daily, and shoppers can also order same-day delivery, gift cards or wholesale cases.
