Open Door Clinic of Alamance County

Open Door Clinic of Alamance County is a nonprofit that provides free health care and medications to uninsured and under-served residents of Alamance County. Its volunteer providers treat a range of chronic and acute conditions, and many patients have diabetes, asthma or COPD. Services also include a dental clinic with minimal copays, a pharmacy that fills many medications at little or no cost through partner pharmacies, mental health resources, virtual care and a clothes closet.

Care is offered to qualified patients age 18 and over whose household income is at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines. The clinic is funded by grants, fundraisers and donations. Its office is at 424 Rudd Street in Burlington. The eye exam referral program is currently on hold.
