The story

Frost Gully Violins sells violin family instruments and bows, from new instruments to ones hundreds of years old. The shop also restores and repairs violins, violas and cellos at every level, and runs a rental program for students and new players. Owner Justin Boone, a luthier, leads the work.

The shop serves beginners through professional musicians, and children as well as adults trying something new. Rentals include a rental agreement and an equity offer that can help a student get started. Instruments can be brought in for a free condition report. The shop is at 15 Mill Street in Brunswick, open Tuesday through Friday, with Monday and Saturday visits by appointment only.
