First Church of Christ, Scientist

First Church of Christ, Scientist is a Christian Science congregation whose Sunday service includes hymns, silent and audible prayer, and a Bible Lesson Sermon, the same lesson read in Christian Science services around the world. On Wednesdays, the testimony meeting gives members a chance to share insights and experiences from their study and practice of Christian Science. The congregation also holds a community service on Thanksgiving Day.

The Christian Science Reading Room is open to anyone and works as both a bookstore and a library. Visitors can borrow or buy Christian Science literature, including The Christian Science Monitor, or talk with staff about their spiritual journey. The church is in Brunswick, Maine, and childcare is provided in the Children's Room during all services. All are welcome.
