Sorrento Importing

Sorrento Importing is an Italian specialty grocery and sandwich shop that has been running since 1966. Its made-to-order sandwiches, wraps and paninis are a draw, including the house sausage made daily on-premise, stuffed porchetta, and chicken parm and eggplant parm options. The shop also stocks imported olive oils, vinegars, fresh and dried pastas, cheeses, cured meats and seasonal holiday items, and will try to order items it doesn't carry.

Catering party trays, antipasto platters, sandwich platters and heros are available for larger gatherings, along with oven-ready trays of meals like lasagna and chicken parmigiana. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday with shorter hours on Sunday and is closed on Mondays. Sorrento moved to Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield in 2018 after a fire destroyed its earlier Bridgeport location, and it is run by the Milazzo family.
