Bremerton Typewriter Company

Bremerton Typewriter Company repairs and refurbishes typewriters of nearly every make, from vintage portables to office standards. The shop also sells restored machines, and its owner, Paul Lundy, is a longtime typewriter enthusiast who learned the trade alongside the shop's founder, Bob Montgomery. The business began in 1947 as an office machine repair shop and now focuses only on typewriters.

The shop is at 286 4th Street in Bremerton, about a short walk from the ferry terminal, and is open Wednesday through Saturday afternoons. Sunday through Tuesday it is closed. Lisa and Griffin work at the bench alongside Paul, and a rotating apprentice position is sometimes filled, so repairs are handled in house.
