Chiavetta's BBQ

Chiavetta's BBQ has been serving barbecue in Western New York since 1954, when Thomas and Eleanor Chiavetta, poultry farmers in Brant, first tried BBQ chicken at a farm bureau meeting. The menu centers on chicken and ribs, with brisket, pulled pork and beef on weck also on offer. The family also bottles its marinades and sauces, which are sold alongside dressings and BBQ potato chips.

Takeout is available from the Brant and Lockport locations, and the Lockport location also takes DoorDash orders. The Brant shop's take-out hours are on weekends. Chiavetta's also runs pop-up chicken dinners at churches, fire halls and parking lots, usually as fundraisers, and sets up chicken BBQs for charities and school groups. Catering covers weddings, corporate events and parties, with pick-up, drop-off and on-site options.
