The Branford Italian-American Social Club is a long-running social club built around Italian heritage and community life. Its roots go back to Italian immigrants who came to Branford to work in the Stony Creek quarries, and the club was founded in 1932 as a gathering place for families and neighbors. Members use it for social events, bocce leagues and community gatherings, and the club also hosts holiday celebrations and fundraisers.
The clubhouse is available for private events such as weddings, showers, anniversaries and parties. Membership is open to those who want to take part in club activities and help keep its traditions going. Regular hours are Thursday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The club is at 40 Hamre Ln in Branford.
