North End Acupuncture

North End Acupuncture is an integrative health clinic offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and functional medicine. The practice focuses on chronic pain and acute injuries, fertility and prenatal care, digestive disorders, sleep, stress and anxiety, and women's and men's health. Founder Philip Barlow opened the clinic in 2014, and it now has four practitioners.

First visits run about 90 minutes and include a detailed health history and an exam before treatment, which may be combined with herbal medicine and lifestyle changes. Follow-up visits are shorter, and cupping sessions are available on their own. Most patients rest with the needles in for around 30 minutes. The office is on Hanover Street in the North End, a short walk from the Haymarket T stop, and validated parking is offered at a nearby garage.
