Loudlands Music Lab

Loudlands Music Lab is a music school in Allston that teaches drums, guitar, bass, piano, voice and music production to kids and adults, with lessons customized to each student. Its drum and guitar group classes, the Drummer's Roadmap and Guitarist's Roadmap, build fundamentals through songs, improvisation and playing with others. Students who want to form a band can join the Start a Band program, which includes instructor guidance, gear and help setting up live gigs.

Lessons are offered in person and virtually with flexible scheduling, and a trial lesson can be booked for a dollar. All students study music theory alongside their instrument. The school has more than 350 active students and hosts ongoing events. Its founder, who also drums for the Blue Man Group, started the school in 2015 as Boston Drum Lessons and Boston Piano Lessons. The studio sits on Harvard Avenue in Allston.
