Telford & Sons Violins

Telford & Sons Violins is a violin shop that grew out of a home workshop started in Boise in 1967 by Leah and Jim Telford. The shop handles violin repair and adjustment, rentals and sales, and music lessons are listed among its offerings. Jim trained as an apprentice in Chicago before the family returned to Boise and opened the store on Gage Street in 1976.

The business is now run by the Telford family, including son Steve, granddaughter Amy and grandson Andrew, along with longtime employee Ryan Tippets. It is on Gage Street in the north end of Boise, and the shop has expanded to several neighboring buildings over the years. Call ahead for repair estimates or to set up a rental.
