Old House Society

Old House Society is a preservation nonprofit focused on the built environment of McLean County and Central Illinois. It researches and advocates for preservation legislation and public planning, offers technical guidance and educational opportunities, and builds community partnerships.

The group also runs an architectural salvage warehouse on East Douglas Street in Bloomington, where it reclaims and sells old building materials. Its board of directors meets monthly on the first Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., and the public can contact the organization by email for meeting location details.
