Birmingham Ice Sports Arena

Birmingham Ice Sports Arena is a city-run indoor ice rink on the Kenning Park property in Birmingham, Michigan. The regulation-sized rink has bleacher seating for 550 spectators, and a smaller studio arena inside the complex is used for lessons and skating parties. Open skate, drop-in hockey, freestyle figure skating, learn-to-skate classes and ice rentals are all offered, along with party rooms.

Open skate admission is $5 per skater for ages 17 and under or seniors 55 and up, and $6 for adults, with skate rental at $3 a pair and sharpening at $10. Learn-to-skate sessions run in eight-week blocks, and reservations are handled through online booking software. The arena is home to the Birmingham Unified high school girls figure skating and hockey teams, the Birmingham Hockey Association and New Edge Figure Skating Club. Call the arena office for schedules and rental questions.
