Evans Tree Service

Evans Tree Service has been doing tree work in Birmingham since 1912, handling removals, trimming, stump grinding and storm cleanup. The company is run today by Carl Hess and his sons, and it is known for taking on trees close to houses, where cranes and rigging are often needed. Certified arborist assessments, tree risk assessments and tree planting are also offered.

Crews work out the lean of a tree, any power lines, fences and nearby structures before cutting, and much of the job is planning. Estimates are free, and the company offers a free onsite safety assessment for urgent threats. Emergency removal and storm cleanup are handled across the metro, and crews can document damage with photos for insurance claims. The office is open Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm.
