Billings Open Studio

Billings Open Studio is a rentable photo studio on the third floor of the historic Kress building in downtown Billings. Its 2,000 square feet include 10-foot north-facing windows, maple floors and exposed brick, and the studio supplies strobes, continuous LEDs, a range of backdrops and prop furniture. Photography classes cover camera settings, lighting, posing and photo editing, and the space also hosts small events such as baby showers, yoga classes and meetings.

Studio time is $60 an hour for natural light, with strobes at $12 each, LEDs at $10 each and extra backdrops at $15, and renters must be 18 or older. Cancellations forfeit payment, but sessions can be rescheduled at no added cost. Free tours can be booked online. The entrance is a purple door on the back side of the building, and a paid 24-hour lot is nearby. There is elevator access, and the studio is wheelchair accessible.
