Butcher Burger

Butcher Burger serves stacked burgers, chicken and fish sandwiches, and lobster rolls, with triple-cooked Maine potato fries on the side. Regulars order the Butcher burger with pulled pork and a fried egg, the Surf & Turf burger, the hot-buttered lobster roll, and the lobster grilled cheese. The lobster comes from boats along the Maine coast and is steamed and hand-picked in house. The Portland location is in the Old Port and pours a lot of local Maine beer.

Takeout is available, and delivery runs through local vendors. The business started on the Maine coast in 2014, and its Bethel location in the western mountains stays open year-round. The Portland restaurant is open seven days a week until 10 PM, so it works well for a late lunch or an early dinner before a walk along the waterfront.
